David A. "Tony" Hoffman, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist located in Santa Cruz, CA. He is a staff lecturer in developmental psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Tony's areas of instruction at UCSC include child development, adolescence, psychopathology, war-affected children, peace psychology, and children in high risk situations. Tony's professional work is devoted to multidisciplinary enhancement of child and family well-being. His local specialization is in pediatric, school and family psychology. His international work is focused on child protection in war zones and areas of extreme poverty.

Tony is a graduate of Reed College (B.A., 1977) and the University of Oregon (M.S. 1980, Ph.D., 1983). He was trained in developmental and clinical psychology in APA-accredited doctoral and post-doctoral programs. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the California Psychological Association, the Monterey Bay Psychological Association, and Psychologists for Social Responsibility.
